Roya Mirmohammadi is a dedicated midwife with three decades of experience supporting mothers, babies, and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery in 1991 and built a lifelong passion for maternal and newborn care.
In 1999, Roya moved to Canada. She completed the International Midwifery Pre-registration Program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in 2003. She began practicing that same year with Midwives of York Region. In 2010, she co-founded Family Care Midwives to expand midwifery services across York Region.
Roya provides compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care. She speaks English and Farsi fluently and values clear communication and cultural sensitivity in every interaction.
Outside of midwifery, Roya enjoys cooking, reading, and travelling. She feels honoured to join each client’s journey and privileged to help welcome new life into the world.
