Maisha Ahmed graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University in 2023. Born and raised in Hamilton, her involvement in community initiatives shaped her desire to support people during vulnerable moments in their lives. With a long-standing interest in reproductive science, Maisha was drawn to midwifery for its emphasis on client-centered care.
She is especially passionate about supporting newcomer families and helping them navigate the healthcare system. Maisha values building meaningful relationships with her clients by ensuring people feel respected and empowered throughout their care. In addition to midwifery, Maisha is a prenatal educator who enjoys helping families feel informed and confident as they prepare for birth and parenthood. Maisha is fluent in both English and Bangali.
Maisha is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Health Quality at Queen’s University. In her free time, she enjoys painting, crocheting, trying new fitness classes, and taking on creative DIY projects.
