Magdalena Pytel-Bevan is a registered midwife in Ontario with a Master of Science in Midwifery and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. Her journey in health care began in Poland and Italy, where she first trained as a midwife in 2010.

After moving to Canada in 2015, Magda completed the International Midwifery Pre-registration Program at Toronto Metropolitan University and became registered to practice midwifery in Ontario.

Magda has provided care in urban, suburban, and rural communities across the province. She has supported families from diverse cultural and social backgrounds—including Amish, Mennonite, First Nations, newcomer, and teen parents, as well as those with complex needs. Her care is grounded in cultural humility, compassion, and evidence-based practice.

In addition to her clinical work, Magda is a certified instructor in First Aid, CPR/AED, and Basic Life Support (BLS). She has additional training in contraceptive care, anti-racism and anti-oppression, grief and bereavement, infection prevention, and occupational health and safety.

Magda is fluent in English and Polish and has a basic understanding of French, Spanish, and Italian.

When she’s not supporting families, Magda enjoys traveling, sightseeing, exercising, playing guitar, and spending time with her family.
