Roya Mirmohammadi is a dedicated midwife with three decades of experience supporting mothers, babies, and families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery in 1991, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for maternal and newborn care.
In 1999, Roya brought her expertise to Canada and completed the International Midwifery Pre-registration Program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in 2003. She began practicing that same year with Midwives of York Region and, in 2010, co-founded Family Care Midwives to help expand midwifery services across York Region.
Roya is deeply committed to providing compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care. Fluent in both English and Farsi, she values strong communication and cultural sensitivity in her practice.
Outside of midwifery, Roya enjoys cooking, reading, and travelling. She is honoured to be part of each client’s journey and feels privileged to help welcome new life into the world.
