I was born in southern British Columbia near the Fraser River. Of métis and settler ancestry, I have lived in many places in Canada including Banff, Montréal and Halifax. My first degree was completed in Fine Arts at NSCAD in Halifax. I continue to work as an artist in mixed media, photography, printmaking and textiles.

It was following the birth of my first child that I realized midwifery was my path. I became involved in my community as a doula and an advocate for choice in pregnancy and childbirth. I also got very busy with two more beautiful, adventurous children! I graduated from the Ryerson Midwifery Program in 2017 and used my midwifery education to continue advocating for research on a breastfeeding protocol for Indigenous moms and babies, and in research on Indigenous governance models for the National Aboriginal Council of Midwives.

As a Registered Midwife, I maintain my passion for this work and my commitment to women and their families during one of the most important times in their lives. I value the sacred gift of pregnancy and childbirth and I am honoured to be part of your journey into parenthood!
